Animated travel maps from your photos

Your camera roll already knows the route.

Every photo carries a time and a place. AnimateTrip turns a trip's worth of them into an animated travel map you can tweak and share — no pins to drop, in about a minute.

Got a trip you want animated first?

One email when it's ready for you. No newsletter, no sharing your address.

Three taps from photos to a story.

Pick the trip

Choose a date range or an album. AnimateTrip finds the photos that have a time and place in them, and suggests a name for the trip.

Watch it draw

Your stops are ordered by when you were there and connected into a route that animates across the map, photo by photo.

Edit and share

Drop a blurry shot, rename a stop, trim the pace — then export a vertical clip sized for Instagram Reels, TikTok and X.

Made for the trips you actually take.

No check-ins, no tracking app

Nothing to remember to switch on before you leave. If your camera was there, the trip is already recorded.

You decide what's public

Location is personal. Choose which stops appear, how precise they are, and who gets the link.

Works on old trips too

That road trip from three summers ago still has its route in the photos. Animate it now.

Built by DaSecure

From the company behind ZapLock and ZapQR. Security tools first — your photos are treated accordingly.

Questions, answered.

How does AnimateTrip make a travel map from my photos?

Most phone photos already record when and where they were taken (their EXIF data). AnimateTrip reads that from the photos you pick, puts them in time order and joins the places into a route that animates across the map, photo by photo.

Do I have to drop pins or type in every stop?

No. Most route-animation apps make you enter each stop by hand. With AnimateTrip the stops come from your photos, so a trip you already took is ready to animate. You can still drop a photo, rename a stop or change the pace before you share.

What happens to photos without a location?

Photos that don't carry a place are left off the route. If location was switched off for your camera on part of a trip, that stretch will have fewer stops.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

AnimateTrip is being built for both. Tell us which phone you use when you join early access and we'll let you know when it's ready on yours.

Who can see where I've been?

Only who you choose. You decide which stops appear, how precise they are and who gets the link. AnimateTrip is built by DaSecure, a security company, and treats your location accordingly.

Is animatedtrip.com the same thing?

Yes. animatedtrip.com and animatetrip.com lead to the same place: AnimateTrip is the app, and an animated trip is what it makes.

When can I start?

AnimateTrip is in early access in 2026. Join the list at the top of this page and we'll send one email when it's ready for you.
